A Reminder!

The vMSDE "End of the World Grand Soiree, Ball, and White-Tie Gala" will be held on

December 21st, 2012

It is not too early to start planning for this once-in-a-lifetime event!

We shall celebrate the ending of the Mayan Calendar (and indeed, the known universe as a whole) with cocktails, dancing, and music. We shall be prepared to meet the end in our very best, in the company of similarly minded friends and dastards. (If for some reason, the world does not actually end as predicted, we will at least have had a very memorable and enjoyable evening...)

This Reminder shall serve as your One Year Advance Notice.

Now there is no excuse for being unprepared when the end comes.

Friday evening, we celebrated the temporary return of our exiled Toronto-based femme fatale, Katerina, with a celebratory dinner and wine tasting at the Pastische establishment in Tacomashire. Katerina, being properly dastardly and living the rules of this order to the highest standard, failed to show. Much praise was lavished upon her for taking "fashionably late" to its logical extreme. Well played, indeed- in fact, we feel that she has reset the bar for the rest of us, at a level so high, that few of us might ever be able to reach it. So be it, as we drank her Brut of champagne without her (but with an appropriate toast to her health, of course).

Special update: 

 For the hospitality shown to us (and more importantly, the willingness to have us return one day), Pastiche has hereby been awarded an official vMSDE Societal Appointment, which was presented in a short ceremony on Tuesday, August 23rd.
